So you have made the decision that you are going to eat healthy. You have come to the right place. Hydro Harvest Farms was founded on the belief that we are what we eat and we are responsible for our families well being, the future of our planet and the desire to get back in touch with what is really important. Growing your own food is one of the most satisfying experiences. Eating healthy food is why you come to Hydro Harvest Farms.
In a nutshell, we grow all of our food using Hydroponic Methods. We specialize in the drip Hydroponic Systems. All of the nutrient is fed in the top of the system and drips down through all of the plants. We not only sell the systems and support what we sell, we have a working farm to show you how great this methods works! We are at the farm everyday and we learn new things everyday. What we really enjoy is teaching our customers all about Hydroponics and growing food. There is a ton of information on the WEB about Hydroponics and what it is, and when you are finished reading, and watching the videos on this site, stop by and see us. We will explain how simple it is to grow your food this way. The reason for using hydroponic growing methods is a list ten feet long of nothing but GOOD! We use 80% less water that a typical farm. Check out the drought situation in Florida and you know how important that is. We use 1/8 the land. Look around, they have grown houses where farms used to be. We use IPM (Integrated Pest Management). This simply said is we use every method to eradicated organisms and pests in the early stages of the problem by using natural enemies, natural solutions, organic controls and NO chemical pesticides.
Hydro Harvest Farms specializes in this growing technique and establishing a great presence in our community. Many schools including HCC Hillsborough Community College, have our gardens as a teaching tool and to share great home grown foods in their schools. We are invited to Epcot Flower and Garden Festival every year to demonstrate our gardens in the Farmers Market. Each January you can catch us at the Florida State Fair in the AG Venture area. We have our gardens on the top of the Florida Aquarium, in Busch Gardens and you will see us at many Chamber of Commerce Events and local Events. Pinellas Job Corps just recently put our gardens up at the Job Corp site in St Pete. Just think of the possibilities and great teaching opportunities that our gardens create. Many Grants are available, email us for a list we compiled. Teachers and Non Profits have many choices, but you have to apply, we will provide the garden and help you set it up. For special pricing on larger gardens, please contact john@hydroharvestfarms.com or phone 813-645-6574 or 941-915-7208.

A Hydroponic Story From Bon Appetit
Have you ever seen a farm that grows produce using minerals, nutrients, and water, but no soil? Farmer John Lawson is doing just that—and growing about six times more produce than a standard farm in the process!
As part of our Farm to Fork program begun in 1999, Bon Appétit Management Company purchases fresh, seasonal produce from small, local farmers around the country. We recently celebrated the milestone of 1,000 such vendors. As a Fellow for Bon Appétit, I get to travel to these different farms and learn about the joys and challenges farmers today face. In this video, John Lawson gives me a tour of Hydro Harvest Farms (www.hydroharvestfarms.com) and shares some of the incredible benefits—and challenges—of hydroponic farming.
